Great Western Brewing combating negative effects of cold weather with “Beer Chill” program
Saskatoon, Sk, January - In view of the recent extreme cold temperatures being recorded in the Prairies, Great Western Brewing has invited interested parties to submit applications for a “Beer Chill” study.
Great Western Brewing is inviting applicants to submit proposals to better understand the impact that cold weather and wind chill have on the ‘Beer Chill’ factor. Great Western Brewing President Ron Waldman explains, “There’s a lot of people who have become very used to leaving their beer outside in the snow when they get to a party. And while we encourage this sort of ingenious improvisation when fridge space is at a premium, when the temperatures outside get this cold, many people become high risks for premature freezing of their beers. Obviously this outcome is unacceptable.”
“In the last couple of days there’s been a lot of talk about the extremely cold temperatures and especially wind chill,” adds Waldman. “But when you brew some of the best beer in the world, which our award-winning beer is – you become concerned with something more important: the ‘Beer Chill’ factor”.
Great Western Brewing would like interested parties to submit study plans regarding the impact of cold temperature and wind chill in correlation with our standard carton materials to better understand chill times. Research submissions should be sent to via email to info@greatwesternbrewing.com.
